Welcoming New Members to Our Foley Chapter!

4-H Community Club

OUR WHY

The Foley 4-H Community Club plays a vital role in encouraging the younger generation to preserve our agricultural heritage. By instilling excitement about agriculture in children, we aim to shape a future generation that cares for the environment, continues our agricultural history, and possibly pursues careers in farming.

This hands-on community club collaborates with agricultural teachers who are farmers and homesteaders in Baldwin County. Our lessons cover a range of topics, from growing culinary mushrooms, herbal uses and preparations, local forage walks, beekeeping, chicken processing, seed starting, organic vegetable gardening, to identifying pollinators and native plants.

Cooper Farm, through the Foley 4-H Community Club, is dedicated to preserving our beautiful farmland and actively involving the younger generation in agriculture to sustain local traditions.

The 4-H Pledge:

I pledge my head to clearer thinking,
My heart to greater loyalty,
My hands to larger service,
and my health to better living,
for my club, my community, my country, and my world.

MONTHLY MEETINGS

We will be separating into two age groups for each meeting; schedule below.  This is a great opportunity for the kids to become closely connected to peers in their age group. It also gives us the opportunity to do more age specific classes, clubs & projects!

- 5pm to 6pm ages 9 to 11 -

- 6pm to 7pm ages 12 to 18 -

Our meetings will be every 4th Tuesday of the month at Cooper Farm Garden Center located at 14609 Hwy-59, Foley, AL 36535.

WHAT ABOUT YOUNGER SIBLINGS?

Younger siblings are welcome with a responsible adult.

We have designated spaces, outside of the classroom area, for moms, dads, grandmas & grandpas ect. to hang with the kiddos that aren't old enough to participate, yet.

Please feel free to bring them, but be sure to keep a watchful eye on the youngins & be sure to respect the space of the teachers & class!

REGISTRATION
The link to register is below!

Feel free to register now or after you attend your first meeting. We would love for you to take a "test drive" to see if this club is right for you & your kiddos.

When you arrive on the page to sign up, you'll select the Foley Community Club & it’ll prompt you to select projects; each project is voluntary & not mandatory to attend the monthly meetings, but you must select at least one to move forward with registration. You are NOT committing to anything, it just prefers you select them. We will go over each project when they are scheduled, so don't fret!
